a long long post

photos from the past 2-3wks.

first up was balling with the girls back at zhss. but this time, the juniors are so lucky to have training up in the new indoor court. still rmb the days when we were training under the scotching sun after school like at 3pm. so super tanned those days. not forgetting if it happened to rain, it means - no balling, yes, do gym.
well, certainly brings back alot of memories.

clar and my shin- thought most zh bballers would have this, the product of coach making us jump the low wall for warmups. jump 10 times, confirm pua toh once de lorr.

this was one day when we brought the doggies out for a run at the huge field opposite my block. got back home to bathe them and baby threw turbo into the pail! LOL! but he seems to be enjoying.

next up are some photos of the meals i have on the first week on my 'healthy living' regime.


steamed fish with beansprouts, baby carrots and broccoli.

baked fish w black pepper, stirfry veges- french beans, baby carrots, turnip, beansprouts & taukua.



FAVOURITE salad - lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, red&yellow&green peppers, 1.5 hard-boiled egg whites, baked chicken breast w black pepper. topping up with honey mustard, apple cider vinegar and 2 tbspn italian dressing.


baked salmon w black pepper and lemon juice, stirfry veges- kailan, green&red&yellow peppers, shitake and button mushrooms.

it was held at robinsons centrepoint lvl 5 and i wouldn't say it was awesome but definitely an experience! wasn't cheap too($140/pax!!!), and it made me longing for those home econs lesson we had in lower sec days. it was a chocolately day. IT WAS CHOCO OVERLOAD! i know it's a v abrupt jump from the healthy food above, but it's relaxing and i guess its always a stress-relief to bake these sweet treats(:


the ingredients

chef making the Dark Ganarche Truffles. ingredients are pretty easy, just melt dark choco and cream. the difficult part was to get the texture right.

we were split into 2 groups, here we're measuring the ingredients for the double choco cake.

next up, we're gonna make chocolate tarts! here, the chef is teaching us how to roll out the tart base. before hand, we made the dough with butter, cocoa powder, flour,sugar and egg yolks and then to chill the dough 30mins in the fridge.





and then it was our turn to do it! here's Eunice!


choco cake done! it's more of like a souffle kinda cake, fluffy texture. more choco and only v v v little flour. can you imagine the recipe of 7 small cakes only used 30g of flour?!

and we rolled the ganarche w our bare hands after it was well chilled in the fridge for more than an hour to make truffles!

can either coat it with cocoa powder for those who'd prefer e bitter side of choco, or icing sugar for those w a sweet tooth!

a great gift idea for xmas or vday!

after chilling it in the fridge overnight at home, it was really really nice! i shall make this someday and treat everyone! (:


this choco cake seems to be good when paired with a dollop of vanilla ice-cream! haven't try it yet, still sitting there in my fridge, waiting for someone to share it w me.


and this was what each of us packed home. oh and the truffles which i didn't take any photos of it packed into a pretty gift bag.


and upon my 2nd visit back to dr.zul, i changed my braces colour! the nurse there will always take out a tray of colours and ask me which one would i like and i always have a difficult time choosing. i'd want a orange cause it looks so fresh and then i'd want this dark blue that seems to sparkle. and then i settled for...

pink at the top and cyan at the bottom! thought its summertime so i should go for smth bright :D




and i was thinking which nail colour should i paint. i
was afraid the green and sparkle was too girly girly and the purple was too plain. so the fickle-minded me painted all 10 fingers green and then got it off and then i painted all 10 of them purple and when i thought it was pretty alr, i accidentally rubbed my wet nails against smth and it smudged so i rubbed it all off agn. yes, so waste paint.

and for some self-loving time..







so after procrastinating my exercise regime the last 2 days for the 2nd wk, due to my cramps, i went for my jog this morning.

the sun was shining was i thought why not make use of this chance as well to tan myself a little! i applied sun tanning oil over my limbs. i guess the oil prevented me from perspiring during the jog and sweat was only dripping from my face. only when i started to do the stretching for cool down, i was dripping everywhere. and back to the mirror at home, i didn't look much tanner, maybe a little healthier-looking. gees. i guess it didn't worked as well as i was constantly on the run with shades from trees and buildings. the best way has still gotta be sun-bathing at the beach where vegetation is minimal. hello to pre-mature fast-aging skin plus skin cancer.

screwed up regime but i'm determined to get it back on track. tmrw's gymming, fri- long cardio, sat-gym and sun-long cardio. still the same amt of exercise for wk2 and rest days are just pushed forward to the past 2 days. there, i've got it! (:
